The political cartoons that Theodor Seuss Geisel created during his time at PM show a vast variety of imagination. We can see cartoons that are promoting the purchase of war bonds; specifically we see a push towards donating ten percent of the average Americans income.
While this is a large part of the propaganda being used during this time, it is not the only kind. We also see pictures and cartoons that poke fun at Adolf Hitler’s image and specifically his missteps taken during the course of the war. This brought an element of humor that many Americans needed during this disturbing time.
