Greetings:

Welcome to the North Plainfield Middle School's Holocaust Resource Guide!

This site will make available hundreds of primary source images, materials from both school and community archives and from our personal collections relating to the World War II era of United States and Holocaust History. Students will be able to access the data base to enhance their understanding of the 8th grade World War II and Holocaust unit. This site is a "work in progress" which will be expanded over the school year.

This site was created by Matt Iannucci and Jerome Pocius.

A Letter of Thanks:

We have all worked very hard to bring the North Plainfield Holocaust Initiative to light for our students and I would like to thank all the teachers and staff at North Plainfield Middle School who contributed physically and creatively to the project.

John Thompson’s visual designs have been an inspiration to me creatively and I do not think this entire project would have been remotely possible without his vision.  Bill Saccardi’s work on Literature of the Holocaust has been absolutely incredible and has brought a level of understanding and excitement that is unmatched. Dave Hooker's creative work in assembling the Museum aspect of our project for the students of North Plainfield Middle School has been invaluable.  Last but certainly not least is the mastermind behind this Holocaust
Initiative, Jerome Pocius, who has donated artifacts, knowledge and most importantly guidance, guidance that fueled this project for two years.

We have created something truly special for our students and I want to thank you for your help, patience and support.

-          Matt Iannucci
